Arena Training Course (Jun 2010)
Our next Introduction to Simulation with Arena  training course has been scheduled for the 15th - 17th November 2010.  The course will be held in Newcastle, Australia. For more information see our training page.

Arena Simulation Forum 2009 (Aug 2009)
SMS are pleased to announce that the Arena Simulation Forum 2009 will be held in Sydney on the 25th of August. Jon Phillips, Arena Simulation Product Manager from Rockwell Automation in the US will be providing the latest news on future directions and new releases. Hunternet Chairman’s Awards (Nov 2008)
SMS were proud winners of the Networking Award at the recent HunterNet Chairman’s Awards Dinner in Newcastle. The award was collected by Managing Director Garry Baunach at the gala event attended by a capacity crowd of over 350.

SMS are now dual award winners having previously received the Export Award in 2004.

The HunterNet Co-operative is a network of over 100 manufacturing firms representing key industries in Newcastle, the Central Coast and Hunter Valley.

Arena 12 Released (May 2008)
Features include:

  • Enhanced plot animation.
  • Real-Time I/O communications.
  • Additional string functions.
  • Option to disable all variability.
  • Find and replace functionality.
  • Enhancements to Optquest.
  • Various animation enhancements.

Preactor 10 Service Pack 1 Released (Feb 2008)
Major changes include:

  • Extended the package manager to support installation and creation of packages in scenarios that involve remote SQL servers and/or reporting services servers.
  • Improved localisation.
  • Improved the License Site Manager to support UAC on Vista (and 'Run as admin' on Windows XP/2003).
  • Licensing is now supported on Windows 64-bit edition using hardware HASP keys.
  • Added a new feature that will now allow users to manage datasets.
  • Bug fixes.
